You are welcome to join us for our regular Drop-in Silence every Friday, stay as long as you like, leave when you want. Be a human being not a human doing. Also an opportunity to browse in our Library.

The Lorax - Reimagined

Venue: Jesus Lane Quaker Meeting House
Come enjoy a retelling of the Dr Seuss classic, The Lorax.
A message for our time acted by players of all ages from our local community.
Junayd Islam, who has adapted the story into a play, has been a climate and anti-war activist since his teens and now uses his Actor-Poet project to produce theatre quality performances. He spices up the enjoyable fable for a new audience and is joined by Director Graham Waterhouse from Jesus Lane, Friends Meeting House. Production support by Giselda Gabriela Felix and Zareen Taj.
The re-working of the much loved tale hopes to inspire and galvanise audiences to look after and care for the world around them to protect the gifts we have still.
There will be a chance for audience members to reflect and leave messages for The Lorax on The Tree.
